Introduction

This unit will deal with the following issues:

An information system that consists of a set of Web pages that are generated in response to user requests and
can deliver complex content and functionality to a broad population of end users is known as a Web application.
Examples include online stores, search engines, auctions, instructional sites, news sites and games.
Features of a Web application include a complex navigational model, many computational modules, a complex
data design, substantial published content, and security considerations.
This lesson gives a detailed knowledge of the augmented WebHelix (AWH) that augments the WebHelix (WH)
by permitting a release and continue feature at the end of each slice, and by providing a qualitative evaluation
framework, called the project evaluation framework (PEF) and provides a systematic approach for evaluating the
status of the project; and the ability to evaluate the project at the end of each phase in a slice of the helix.
Second half of the lesson describes PEF framework and process and its derivatives.
Lastly it gives the consequences and application of the augmented Web Helix process.
