5.2 Project Management Body of Knowledge

	The project management body of knowledge is a standard that recognizes the five process groups (discussed in section 5.1) and nine knowledge areas for successfully managing any project.
	These can be applied in almost all projects.
	The nine knowledge areas (discussed in detail in following lectures) are:

		Project Integration Management
		Project Scope Management
		Project Time Management
		Project Cost Management
		Project Quality Management
		Project Human Resource Management
		Project Communications Management
		Project Risk Management
		Project Procurement Management

Each of the above knowledge areas are related to the process groups described in section 5.1.

5.2 Project Management Body of Knowledge

	As discussed earlier, each process group includes a number of project management processes.
	Thus, every management process is linked to least one process group and one knowledge area.
	Such relations are usually illustrated in the matrix structure as presented in Table 5.1.
