Syllable
A sound system that can be said without interruption and are usually a vowel which can have consonants before and / or after it.

Syllable pattern
The combination of a vowel and consonant that constitutes a single syllable in Malay words.

Vowel harmony
A specific pairing of two vowels in one Malay word.
