Value is one of the important elements of a civilization. It is the values that determine a success of a civilization. A society without values will not sustain long. The downfall of a civilization is due to the ignorance of values in the life of the people. Islam since the period of Prophet Adam A.S until Prophet Muhammad SAW gives a great emphasis on values. In fact, one of the main missions of Prophet Muhammad SAW was to complete the values of the people. It is not deniable that every religion emphasizes on values but each religion has its own view on values. Likewise Islam, it has its own values that have been set by Allah SWT. Since the values in Islam were set by Allah SWT, the Creator of the universe, it is superior to other values. Thus, in this lesson, we will discuss the theory of values in Islam.
