1.4 Who is a True and Partial Muslim?

After discussing the meaning of Islam, Iman and Ihsan, can you determine who is a true and partial? Do you still remember the story of Adri above? Is he a true or partial Muslim? Now ask yourself, am I a true Muslim or partial Muslim?

From the discussion above, we can recognize who is a true Muslim. A true Muslim is a person who completely submits himself and his whole life to the teachings of Islam (the Wills of Allah SWT). It implies that his/her daily activities are done solely for the sake of Allah SWT or to get His pleasure.

While a partial Muslim is an opposite of the true Muslim. Who is a partial Muslim? It is a person who confines his faith or belief to a part of his life. For instance, he performs prayers or fasts as required and performs all the religious rituals faithfully, but at work he does not perform his job well and he mingles around with women without limitation. After work, he goes out with woman who is non-mahram and spends his time at karaoke station.

Warning!

Even though you know the criteria of a partial Muslim, do not simply judge a person and inform him directly by saying "You are not a true Muslim, but a partial Muslim". You should learn methodology of da'wah and use to tell the person wisely.
