1 Monotheism The belief that there is only one God worth of being worshipped alone without associating to Him.
2 Devil Also called "Satan". The most powerful evil being. He was expelled from Paradise and damned for ever because he refused to prostrate to Adam when Allah ordered him to do so. He argued that he is better than he is created from fire while Adam is created from clay. He declared his enmity to Adam and Adam's sons and swore to used all means and undertook whatever it takes to misguide them and drive them away from worshipping Allah alone.
3 Shirk The act of associating other things besides Allah in worship with the belief that these things can harm, protect, or provide the worshippers with things they need.

4 Eve Adam's spouse and the mother of humanity. According to authentic prophetic narration, she was created from the shortest left rib of Adam while he was sleeping and after she was clothed with flesh. This is in accord with Allah's saying in the Holy Quran, "O Mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam) and from him (Adam) He created his wife (Eve), and from them both He created many men and women. (Ch 4: 1). It was also narrated that she was named "Eve" because she was created from something living (Adam).
5 Statues Figures of persons or animals in stone, clay, metal etc., usually in the same size as in real life or larger.
6 Idols Persons, animals, or things loved and admired to the degree of worship. In Islamic terminology, it is a statue worshipped as a god.
7 Idolatry The most evil of all sins in Islam: it is worshipping anything other than Allah or worshipping other things besides Allah.

8 Polytheism The belief that there is more than one god or worshipping more than one god. In Islamic terminology, it is disbelief in Allah or worshipping other things than Allah or associating other things with Allah in worship.
9 'Wadd', 'Suwa', Yaghuth', 'Ya'uq', and 'Nasr' These are the names of some idols worshipped by the people of Prophet Noah as mentioned the Holy Qur'an: "They (idolaters) have said: "you shall not leave your gods nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaguth, nor Ya'uq nor Nasr (Names of the idols)". (CH 71: 23). They were originally the names of dead righteous men whose statues were raised to show respect for them and get motivation for following their example of worship but as time passed later generations worshipped them as their idols.
10 Prostration The act of laying the face downwards in worship. It is forbidden to prostrate to anything or anyone but Allah alone in Islam.
