2.2 Has Allah given His Oneness of Divine Lordship or part of it to any among the Angels, Prophets or Saints

Undoubtedly Divine Lordship is unique to Allah the All Exalted who has not given it to others not even to an honoured Angel nor a sent Prophet moreover others. The Creator is fundamentally characterised with Divine Lordship while the created is eternally characterised with servitude. For this reason Quran along with authentic Sunnah refutes claims that a part of God is found in creation as the wayward Shiites and Sufis claim and which happens to be a belief inherited from the Christians.

Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah-may Allah show mercy upon him-says:
“The Prophet (SAW) realised his servitude in order that the Ummah does not commit what the Christians did to the Messiah in that they ascribed to him divinity to the extent that a person said to him.

(( أجعلتني لله نداً؟ بل ما شاء الله وحده )) "ما شاء الله وشئت" فقال:
“What Allah and you will” so (SAW) said: ((Do you make me equals with Allah, but rather (the matter is) what Allah alone wills))

2.2 Has Allah given His Oneness of Divine Lordship or part of it to any among the Angels, Prophets or Saints

This wayward extremism has taken place in two groups in the Ummah:
• A group from among the wayward Shiites who believe that Prophets (PBUT)
and Imams from the house of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) are divine.
• A group of ignorant Sufis believe such beliefs in the Prophets (PBUT) and righteous.

Whosoever imagines such falsehoods in our Prophet (SAW) or in other Prophets (PBUT) any form of divinity and lordship then becomes among the Christians. Rather, that the rights of the Prophets (PBUT) are that which are inherent in Quran and Sunnah. Allah has made manifest in His Book the rights of the Messenger (SAW) from love of him, obedience to him, his reprehension, to honour him, to assist him, his rulings and to submit and be satisfied and with his judgements. To imitate his conduct and to give him preference before oneself, family and wealth, and to refer all disputed matters to him along with all the rights he enjoys. As for worship and asking for help then that belongs to Allah alone free from any partners as He has said: .
[النساء:٣٦] (( واعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئاً ))
[الفَاتِحَة:٥] (( إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين ))
Worship Allah and do not associate with Him anything. [4:36], Ye alone do we worship and Ye alone do we ask for help. [1:5]

All supplements are to Him alone be they supplements of worship, requests or cries of assistance.” Here ends his remarks.

The renowned scholar Ibn al-Qayin-may Allah show him mercy-says: “From among the reasons for idol worship: wayward extremism for the created and allocating them a status above that which they deserve until they reach the extent of attributing to them part of divinity and liken him to Allah the All Glorious. This is the type of idealisation found in the Ummah. Allah destroyed such perceptions and attitudes, sent His Messengers and revealed His Books refuting such falsehoods. Allah the All Glorious denies and prohibits idolisation and likening anything to Him, or making equals with Him nor to liken Him to other than Him; as no nation from among the known nations have likened Allah the All Glorious to any of His creations rendering the created the origin likening it to the Creator. This is unknown from among the children of Adam. The intended meaning behind this statement is that no nation has likened Him with His creation and made the created the origin. But rather that the statues and idols that have existed in nations are the idolization of their worshipped statues and its association with divinity. This form of typification is the origin of idol worship. Quran is replete with annulment of all forms of typifying and likening with Allah the All Exalted. This is the annulment Quran metes out to the polytheists and assimilators who equal others to Allah. Allah says:

(( وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْدَاداً يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ ))
Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal with Allah; they love them as they should love Allah. [2:165]

With this Allah repudiates this assimilation which is the origin of idol worship.” Here ends his remarks.
