11.3 Islamic education and the upright citizen


Islam is interested in the Muslim individual so it advices the Muslim person to do the following:

To spend a part of his wealth as a Zakat and a charity in order to be a successful member in the
community "So fear God as much as we can; listen and obey; and spend in charity for the benefit of your
own souls. And those saved from the covetousness of their own souls, they are the ones that achieve
prosperity." (TAGHABUN 16).
To be upright where the Quran says "Therefore stand firm (in the straight path) as thou art commended,
thou and those who with thee turn (unto God); and transgress not (from the path): for he seeth well all that
we do" (HUD 112).
To be loyal "And incline not to those who do wrong, or the fire will seize you; and ye have no protectors
other than God, nor shall ye be helped" (HUD 113).
To say his opinion in the different problems and fear, only, Allah according to instruction of Allah when he
says "So fear God as much as we can; listen and obey; and spend in charity for the benefit of your own
souls. And those saved from the covetousness of their own souls, they are the ones that achieve
prosperity." (TAGHABUN:16).

11.3 Islamic education and the upright citizen


To be kind and humble to the other Muslims in the community and not to help their enemies against the
Muslims. "Therefore stand firm (in the straight path) as thou art commended, thou and those who with
thee turn (unto God); and transgress not (from the path): for he seeth well all that we do" (HUD 112).
To encourage the believer to be strong because the nation will profit well from him. The Hadith says "The
strong believer is better than the weak believer and both of them are good".
To profit from his health and his spare time according to the following hadith "Two graces are envious of
much people; the healthy and the spare time".
