10.4 Story

Story tells the events that happened to someone or something. The story has got three kinds;

1.	The historical story; it speaks about the events that happened and finished in the past and this kind is

either;

a.

real; such as these mentioned in the Holy Quran

b.

Fable or fabricate; it is imaginary although some of its parts (events, places or persons) are true.

2.	The realistic story; it is showing the person or the thing as they, really, are and it is happing now or in the

present.

3.	The model story; it is a story whose events might happen and can be repeated more and more such as the

one that came in the Holy Quran in Sora Al Cave (Al-Kahf) about the owner of the two farms.

Teaching through story style is of a great effects, psychologically, on the students because:

1.	It takes their attention to the teller of story.

2.	It deals with the listeners' curiosity which is something natural inside them.

3.	Through it, we can achieve many targets in one moment, such as preaching, Acknowledgement, teaching

and amusing.

10.4 Story

Islam recognized the importance of story so it used it to invite people for attending it and to follow its regulations and instructions. It used all the kinds of stories that we mentioned and for assisting, helping and strengthening the Prophet (pbuh) and his followers in the hard situation where the Holy Quran is neither a book for stories nor a book for history. It is a book of education, direction and guidance.

Also, The purified Sonna was interested in using this style following the Holy Quran in aims and targets. It focused on the ones that are of spiritual, moral, social and human effects. There are many Hadithes which have come in a story style. These stories were different in length according to the event, the situation or the target. Sometimes they come short composed of little words such as the good result of loving and visiting each other which is while a man was visiting a friend of him in a village, Allah ordered an angel to stand in his way. When this man passed by the angel, the angel asked him what do you want? The man said "I want my friend in this village". The angel said "Do you want a favor from him?" the man said "No, but I loved him for Allah (Almighty) only". The angel said "I'm Allah's messenger for you because he (Almighty) loved you because you loved your friend for him only" (by Muslim).

Where some stories come in more than ne page such as the three passengers who presented in a cave.

And so, we find that the story style in the field of education in the Sonna achieves the targets. The experiments proved that the most efficient religious stories that reach, quickly, to the hearts are the ones of great values, exited in its events, full of situations, strong structured, complex and strong in its end.
