10.2 Role model

The role model, also, is an important method of teaching that is of an effect in the field of education since the teacher is considered the high model in the view of the learner. The learner is affected by his teacher and imitates him in his morals and behaviors whether he intends that or without intention. so, the role model style is a great factor in repairing the learner or spoiling him. It is more powerful than the direct preaching for that it is said "the one's religion is that of his friend".

The Holy Quran mentioned that the Prophet (pbuh) is a role model when it says "we have indeed in the Apostle of God a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in God and the Final Day, and who engages much in the praise of God." (AHZAB 21). The Prophet (pbuh) was a role model that is valid for all the Muslim and humanity in every time and place because he is a perfect picture to the Islamic invitation and a practical application of the Holey Quran. So, his friends were following him in everything; in their worshipping, dealings and morals and the Prophet, himself, was encouraging them to be so. When he said "pray exactly as you saw me praying" and he also said "Take from me your worshipping". These Hadithes are clear invitation to his friends to follow him and to walk on his path because Allah wants these deeds.

The Prophet (pbuh) is the role model for all the educators whether they are fathers or teachers in every situation.

In his marital life, He was an example of the patient and tolerant husband in dealing with his wives. In
dealing with his wives. In this mater he said "the best of among of you is one who is the best for his
family and I am the best of you to my family".

10.2 Role model

In his social life, He was the best for his friends and neighbors. He was looking after the Muslims. He
was the honest one who preserved the deposits and fulfilled the promises and the contracts.

Also, Islam warns, from the contradictions between the speeches and the deeds, the people who act as role models when he says "O we who believe! Why say we that which we do not? (2) Grievously odious is it in the sight of God that we say that which ye do not.(3)" (SAFF 2-3).

The learners, or the children, whatever great its ability to be good and pure, will not respond to the principles of good acts or the good education unless they see the educator is in the top of the highest morals and the good values as well as applying what he is ordering and avoiding what he is forbidding.

The role model is a wanted quality, and whoever affects the others behaviors will be rewarded if the effects are good or will be punished if the effects are bad according to the Hadith "whoever has enacted a good deed in Islam, He would have got its wage as well as the wages of its doers after him without any deduction from their wages. and who ever has enacted a bad deed in Islam, He would have got its sin as well as the sins of its doers after him without any deduction from their sind".

Since the nature of the sons is imitating their fathers, Islam commands the fathers, always, to be role models to their children when it says" And those who pray, Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous." (FURQAN 74).

10.2 Role model

Also, the teachers are fathers in the view of the pupils, so teachers should recognize that their effect exceeds the educational curricula and the pupils take their teacher's behaviors as a model to follow, so, teachers should be of the best morals as possible as they can and in the same time, a life application to the values taken from Islam which they speak about. So, the role model teaching method taken from the Prophet (pbuh) is standing as a real method that its success is from Allah who has put inside the human nature the ability to imitate.
