views on the curriculum of Islamic education
The first Islamic scholars have done many efforts to ease teaching and learning the contents of the Islamic educational curriculum for both teachers and students. Of these efforts are the following:-
For the Holly Quran: They divided it into thirty parts, so students can review a part every day. They, |
also divided each part into two subparts called "Hizb" so, students can review each part, daily, in two |
periods; a Hizb in the morning and another in the night. Furthermore, they divided each Hizb into four |
quarters equal in length in order to make the student be able to memorize the Holy Quran. |
For the Hadith: They collected the Hadithes in groups according to the "sahaby" who is the Prophet's |
direct follower who transferred the Hadith from the Prophet (pbuh) himself. These books are called |
"Asaneed" which the most famous is "Musnad Al Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal". Also, they collected the |
Hadithes into books in which are classified according to the subjects or chapters of the Feqeh and they |
called them "Al Sehah" which mean "the right one". The most famous are "Albukhary" and "Muslim". |
These made it easy to do the search operation for both of teachers and students till now. |
For the Feqeh: They grouped the different judgments related to one mater or issue into chapters. We |
can find the questions concerning the prays, for examples, in a great chapter called "the prays". Also, |
the questions or the instructions about the sorts of selling are under a chapter called" the Selling. The |
word "Bab" which means, in Arabic door stands for a chapter. |
