Summary

In this topic we studied methods of proofs. In the first section of this topic we have learned how to use direct proofs to prove some mathematical statements. In the second section we have studied some indirect proofs such as proof by contraposition and proof by contradiction. We have also investigated some strategies of proofs like proof by cases, proof without laws of generality and exhaustive proofs. We round off by studying proofs by mathematical induction and strong mathematical induction.
