Introduction

In this lesson, an introduction to multimedia technology is first presented depicting the notion and evolving history of multimedia. The unique and distinct characteristics of multimedia are then illustrated including multimedia applicability in real life practice. Basic taxonomy of multimedia is finally discussed.
