Human resource planning is the process of assigning the right qualified people or employees to the required
jobs at the right time in order to achieve organization goals.
Human resource planning encompasses five activities:
Demand planning: this activity involves determining the number and type of employees needed for specific
job.
Forecast human resource supply: this activity involves keeping track of current employees and how they
satisfy the job they are required to accomplish.
Human resource audit: this involves identifying area of shortage or surpluses in different areas in the
organization.
Reconciliation of human resource supply: this activity includes developing a plan to eliminate the gap
between demand and supply.
Control: it involves monitoring and controlling of human resource plan to meet business objectives.
The main issue of IT organizations is the need for employees and managers who are not only technicians but
also aware of business.

3.1 Human Resource Planning


Actually, there is a great demand not just for IT candidates with specialized technology skills but also for
employees who have both technology skills coupled with business knowledge and interpersonal skills

this.
Other organizations find it costly to hire employees with constant monthly salary to develop and maintain
