7.7 Time Sharing

Time-sharing is the sharing of a computing resource among many users by means of multiprogramming and multitasking. Time-sharing reduces the cost of computing, because it is possible for individuals and organizations to use a computer without owning it. The advantage of time sharing is that the CPU is not idle. The disadvantage is that since all output devices are centralized on a single PC therefore there will be time delay from one person to another.
