3.4 Internal Control


This is an important business process where the business makes sure that the ISs in place are running in coherence.
It also entails conforming with the laws and regulations in addition to the overall business goals.
The internal control business process should be reflected in the IS in place.
For instance, when faulty goods are returned to the business, they have to be marked as faulty in the system to allow the responsible staff to send them back to the supplier.
If IS failed to make a note of this, the internal control business process should be able to pinpoint this.
