2.3 Data collection

Once the above mentioned methods are used in quantitative or qualitative design, the step of collecting these data is required. Qualitative studies need highly trained social scientists to collect data, while quantitative studies use a field staff that is recruited and trained directly by the researcher. Sometimes this staff can also be contracted from specialized companies in conducting field interviews.
